Born in Lancashire in 1953.
As a child It was believed that I was happiest when messing about with paint.
During my late teenage years I attended a local Art College.
I have continued to paint though not in the grand sizes of my time at Art College, back in the 70's I firmly believed that my work was innovative.
However through life's twists and turns my involvement with art and my painting became less and less and I settled into secular employment of one form or another.
In the years since then my art has remained very much a hobby, though I believe I have brought my creative flair to my work in other ways.
In 2005 I began to dabble in digital photo manipulation, initially to re-create a picture as a gift for a friend.
What followed was much encouragement by the recipient of the gift and others who saw my work enquired whether they could purchase individual pieces.
With that early encouragement I entered a number of exhibitions, again finding acceptance.
Between 2007 and 2009 I exhibited both locally and in London. The balancing act of Art versus my day job eventually took it's toll and I reduced my involvement in exhibitons.
Whilst remaining in full time employment I have found it difficult to balance the time necessary to devote to what is a burning desire and passion within me. The flame has at times been reduced to just a flicker but it has only ever been dimmed within me.
The time has come to fan that flame once again, I have taken the giant leap to self represent and have become self employed.
This new road is indeed scary and I have much to learn but life is too short, so I now consider each day with excitement oh and a little fear and trepidation, but nothing was ever achieved without trying.
You will find a combination of digital work and hand painted acrylic on canvas pieces. Please do enquire as much of the digital work can be transposed just as well onto paper as it is on canvas or vice versa.
